Abstract

We compare the calculation of the contact area between the palladium and aluminum nanoparticles and graphene substrate by an ellipse and by the distance between atoms. Linear approximations of shear stress depending on the contact area of different metals were compared. It has been observed that aluminum nanoparticles are spherical and palladium nanoparticles have an ellipsoid shape, because the metal-metal interaction in palladium is stronger than that of aluminum.
